ITINERARY


  • DAY 1 CABO DE LA VELA

    Departure from Riohacha at 8:00 a.m.

    We will arrive at Cabo de la Vela, after 2 and a half hours of travel in 4x4 vehicles. We will drop you off at your preferred accommodation

    Then, we will pick you up around 1:30 p.m. to start the tour of the places of interest in Cabo de la Vela: Pilón de Azúcar, Playa Dorada, El Faro.

    Finally, around 6:30 pm, we will take you back to your chosen accommodation.

  • DAY 2 PUNTA GALLINAS

    The pick-up will be made at the lodgings starting at 7:00 a.m.

    After 3 or 4 hours of travel, we will arrive at Punta Gallinas. There we will leave them in their lodgings.

    At 2:00 p.m. The tour starts in Punta Gallinas. There we will visit the Dunes of Taroa, Punta Aguja and the Punta Gallinas Lighthouse, the northernmost point of South America.

    Finally, we return to the accommodation around 6:30 p.m.

  • DAY 3 RETURNING TO RIOHACHA

    We will leave Punta Gallinas at 8:30 a.m. to Riohacha.
The tour is subject to change according to weather conditions.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Transport

The transportation service to Punta Gallinas and Cabo de la Vela is done in 4 X 4 vehicles, spacious, with air-conditioning. A maximum of 6 people can go in this vehicle.

The driver is from the region, he only speaks Spanish. He will not act as a guide, for this he must hire another type of tour.

Wear suitable footwear to avoid falls when going up to the viewpoints.

Be careful. We are not responsible if the traveler is exposed to dangerous situations and therefore may suffer an incident.

We are not responsible for any type of delay caused by climatic, social or mechanical factors of the car * (road conditions can suddenly damage the vehicle).

Please allow an additional 24 hours so that delays do not affect your travel itinerary.

Be punctual for the picking up at the agreed places and times, not being on time can lead to being left, for this reason there will be no refunds or return

Food

You can bring your own food. Remember to bring non-perishable food that is easy to transport, that is not prepared in a complex way and that does not need refrigeration since there is no common kitchen or refrigerator in the lodgings.

We recommend a 6-liter bottle of water per person.

Your food must be packed in your luggage, which will be transported in the car rack.

In our office you can store luggage that you do not need since space is limited.

If you want to buy food prepared, in most lodgings, there are restaurants. Breakfast can cost between 5.000 and 9.000 Colombian pesos per plate, lunch and dinner can cost from 13.000 COP per plate.

Accommodation

It is not allowed to camp or hang hammocks in unauthorized areas, it is necessary to use the lodgings of the locals of La Guajira.

Hammock accommodation rates range from COP 15,000 to COP 20,000 per night per person, depending on the location and size of the hammock. Beds can range from COP 25,000 to COP 35,000 per night per person.

Our transporter will leave you at your preferred accommodation, and if you do not know, we will inform you about the prices of some, but we are not responsible for availability or reservation.

With us you will be safe since we are a legal company. Safety is first!

PAYMENT POLICIES

Payment methods
  • Deposits via Paypal or PayU through the active payment modules linked in this official web-site or from our partners.
  • In cash exclusively in our partner offices in Santa Marta or Riohacha with the authorized staff.
  • We accept payments with credit cards such as Visa or MasterCard.
Payment policies
  • A 15% deposit of the total of the package is required prior to confirmation of all bookings.
  • The remaining balance must be paid at least on the same date of departure before leaving.
Cancellation policies – Right to retrace
  • Confirmed bookings will have a cancellation policy in the following terms.
  • Cancellations or changes will have a 20% penalty of the total of the package.
Reimbursements

Reimbursements will take place only when cancellations are made 48 hours or more in advance. In case of cancellations, the respective deposit will be reimbursed, discounting the corresponding financial cost.

Once the tour starts, there are no refunds of any kind.
